I began my teaching journey in the West Bank of Israel at the Deheishe Refugee Camp. The experience changed my direction in life and upon returning to the United States, I participated in the development of a private elementary program in California. Although content and very happy at this program, I had a strong desire to teach in the inner cities of Los Angeles in a public school setting. There I remained until moving to Eugene, Oregon. While my husband pursued his PhD. in Psychology, I worked with my own children to enhance their learning opportunities. When my younger son completed first grade, I resumed my adventure in education and helped launch the pilot elementary program here at Good Samaritan School. The program is now in its third year and it has been an amazing opportunity for me to grow and excel. I feel so blessed each and every day and look forward to the years to come!

’ I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride to make life easier. Let the children’s laughter remind us of how we used to be.’
